Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Michelle.
Angel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started working with children during my senior year in high school. I volunteered as a D.A.R.E role model and worked as an after school teacher/summer camp counselor. During college, I volunteered for the safe school initiative program and that’s when I realized I was passionate about working with children. After obtaining my degree, I taught, volunteered, and mentored for many years and finally decided to invest in my own business as I felt my skills and experience could benefit many families.
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t been a walk in the park. I am a single mother that works full time and I have fully financed every aspect of my business expenses. I also didn’t realize how many inspections were required to officially conduct business. I must admit, it has been the most rewarding challenge ever!
Please tell us about your business.
Angels Play 2 Learn Workshop hosts Princess Playdates every Saturday. The workshop is designed for little girls ages four to ten. We’re aiming to connect with families that value manners, etiquette, and optimism. Each workshop teaches the princesses life skills that can be utilized daily while engaging in fun, age appropriate activities. In addition to the Princess Playdates, we also offer camp during school breaks and exclusive princess party packages for groups of five or less. I love educating and empowering. I take great pride in my work and value our youth.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I absolutely love how our city is filled with so many unique, creative, driven, talented individuals and in all honesty the first thing that came to mind regarding what I like least is traffic.
