Today we’d like to introduce you to Nelsonya Bradley and Anna Johnson.
Nelsonya and Anna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Raising King’s and Queen’s derived from an idea of two single parents, myself Nelsonya Bradley and my best friends of seven years, Anna Johnson. Raising King’s and Queen’s is a haven for single parents to come together, vent, network and connect, as the audience gets to view the founders Nelsonya Bradley and Anna Johnson with their children along with other single parents that will be featured on the website to share their story. Raising King’s and Queen’s purpose is to better not only the lives of ourselves but the lives of other single parents, by simply sharing and helping others through our struggles as single parents. We are so very blessed to be where we are today with our organization, with the help, support and prayers of our young King’s Christian Landon Bradley, and Avery Kartel Lipsey, our families, friends and community.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to success is not for the faint at heart! We have endured many obstacles since we became established in 2018, a major on-going struggle we battle with on a daily is being transparent with our followers, the good, the bad and the ugly of being a single parent, as well as last minute cancellations of event spaces, lack of support, locating a reliable vendor to manufacture our merchandise, and networking and sponsorship!
Please tell us about your business.
Have you ever had bills due, childcare, groceries to buy, and still needed money for the week, and you don’t get paid till next week! The frustrations of a single parent, Or it could be timing and scheduling. Have you not been able to make to your child’s function or been late because of work? Frustrations of a single parent! Oh this one, I know you can relate to having to take off work for days at a time due to your child being sick. It would be nice to have someone to share those responsibilities with. However, some of us are great strong single moms and dads because of our blessings. Raising Kings & Queens is so much more than a website; it’s a brand, it’s a movement, it’s a family, it’s a support system; it’s for you!
We at Raising King’s and Queen’s are known for our generosity, compassion and dedication we have shown and will continue to show to our community as well as other single parents. As a company, we are most proud of being able to go back to our hometowns where we grew up and give back to the community and those in need! It’s such a blessing to be able to be a blessing to others, especially those in a community where you grew up! One thing that sets us apart from others is we are always trying to be as transparent as possible with helping others, it comes from a place of pure passion!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Optimism and Enthusiasm! We are optimistic about our business continuing to grow and develop. We are enthusiastic about how many people we can reach and the bond we can create through each parent or individual we may help.
