Meet Tiffany Draper

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Draper.

Tiffany, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My name is Tiffany Draper, I’m 37 years old and I started Tea With Tiffany in November 2016. After giving birth to my 2nd son just 3 years prior in December 2013, I had completely lost myself. I walked by a mirror one day and didn’t recognize myself. At that moment, I knew that I had lost myself and I was so upset about it. I decided to do something about it, so I started writing affirmations to myself and I shared them on Facebook.

I shared them on Facebook and I didn’t realize how many women were experiencing the same things. I instantly began receiving emails and women were inboxing me regarding their lives. I knew at that moment that God had purposed me to help women. I started holding different events around town on topics such as Mental Health, dating, raising children, women in business, and most importantly self love.

Since that time I have started hosting at least three to five events per year and I now host a yearly all white brunch for women in Huntsville and surrounding areas. I meet almost 200 new women every year. My Facebook page has over 3,000 women who follow me for encouraging words every day. I have met women all over the world who walk up to me and thank me for sharing my story with them. My story of rape, domestic abuse, single parenting and coming from a broken home. I am so thankful to be in this position today because I have something to offer other women… Hope. I strongly believe that we can help each other. We can love each other and get to the next level in our lives if we help each other and have something or someone to push us there. Tea With Tiffany will continue to promote women and also love our women. We are one! We must help each other.

It doesn’t cost anything to be nice… My purpose in life is simple… Show someone that it is possible to live out their dreams. Change the narrative. I chose to change what society said about what would happen to me as a teenage mom.

I now have a 17 yr old son who is graduating from high school in May 2020 and will be heading to Tuskegee in the Fall. I am also the proud parent of a musically talented six year old son who is following in the foot steps of his older brother. My life is simple and I like it that way.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, of course not. I have been accused of trying to be like other people and I find that ridiculous. We as human beings will probably all have similar stories, but they are never the same.

I got really sick in December 2018 and was on life support in a coma for a few days. That was my body’s way of telling me to slow down. I’m better now and I’m moving forward by doing bigger and better things in 2020.

Please tell us about your work.
Tea With Tiffany, empowering women everywhere. I’m known for hosting various events in Huntsville, AL catered to women. I am most proud of the fact that I don’t let this get to me. I’m the same every time you see me. I’m authentic. I think what sets me apart from others is the fact that I’m approachable and I don’t meet strangers.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Being humble, loving everyone regardless of status, gender, or race. Being genuine.
