Meet Trailblazer Amber Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Davis.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Well….. I would consider myself kind of a homebody. Home is where most people are comfortable. When I’m home I don’t have to be dolled up I can wear a big t-shirt and lounge on my off days. Growing up I was always into having the cutest pajamas. I preferred my pajamas to be shorts because I’m very hot natured. So, as time passes and I get older, I start to buy more pajamas but, I could never sleep in them comfortably. This is when I decided oversized t-shirts would be my pajamas. It was hard to find a material that I wouldn’t sweat in or find myself getting too hot wearing. I always liked onesies but could never wear them for too long because of the thick material and most onesies have pants. One day I decided I’m tired of giving companies my money; it’s time I come up with something. I needed something I could lounge around the house in but, if I wanted to lay down, I could still be comfortable in my attire. I needed something that was cute while I am just at home relaxing. That’s the day I decided to come out with a line that focused on nightwear. I wanted something lightweight and most importantly, something I could personally see myself in. Late Nite Vibez was then created.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
So, I launched my first onesie on November 13, 2019. I would still consider myself in the beginner’s phase, where I’m still learning, exploring, and being innovative. The road hasn’t been smooth but, then the success would be less enjoyable if it was easy. My biggest obstacle I would say was myself in the very beginning. I was thinking, “Everyone has a clothing line” or “ Would people really want a onesie?”. I had many questions from

logistics to what type of design did I want. I always said I never wanted to be an entrepreneur when I was younger. However, I couldn’t be more proud of myself for pushing and taking that leap of faith. My advice to any young woman starting their journey would be if you have something you want to do go for it. You’ll face obstacles may lose some friends but, you’ll truly see those that support you. It may even surprise you, but there are people in your corner that want to help you win. Beat all odds and don’t let your fears stop your success!

We’d love to hear more about Late Nite Vibez.
I currently have a line based off of nightwear. Of course, you can wear the clothing whenever and however you please. Late Nite Vibez is just an overall feeling I want people to have. I want people to say, “I can’t wait to put that on tonight!” or “ I can’t wait to get comfortable in relax in my onesie tonight.” My goal is just to give people a vibe. What sets me apart? I want every shape and every color to put on their piece feeling absolutely fabulous. I want my customers to walk past the mirror and double take because they look just that good in the material. My pieces should give confidence and boost all egos. I will be launching some material for lent soon , but it will not be onesies.

Which women have inspired you in your life?
This answer may sound cliche but, of course, my mom has inspired me. I wouldn’t be here without her. She is an entrepreneur and she was able to give me some good insight. She helped prepare me for possible stumbles and obstacles. Most importantly, she is supportive. My mom drives me and my motivation is to of course, make her proud. She’s always told me whenever I said I wanted to do something, I did it and succeeded. Whenever I feel like giving up, I just hear her voice in my head. So, here I am. I couldn’t do it without her words of wisdom. I get being a diva from her so I’m constantly getting her opinion on designs and ideas.
