Stephanie , let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Many women suffer from hair loss around the edges of their hairline for a multitude of reasons. The existing products on the market did not have the natural appearance that I desired nor did they give me the flexibility to wear or actually aid in the regrowth of my hairline. The products were either harsh or limiting in style. So, In my journey to find confidence, I created a solution to make me feel more confident and beautiful again. I wanted to wear a ponytail hairstyle again without suffocating my pores with lace, glue and wigs.
In my journey of development and testing, I didn’t realize the magnitude of need from women of all shades and hair textures. Here I was suffering from alopecia and seeing women lose their hair due to chemotherapy, I realized there had to be a way to make them feel more confident as well. So, I partnered with an awesome team to help make “Instant Edges” – the hair market’s very first natural looking quick and easy to apply hairline product.
Instant Edges is more than skin deep. Instant Edges Inc. is on a mission of empowering women by boosting daily confidence and freedom of individual style with an easy to apply application.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has NOT been a smooth road to bring Instant Edges from a concept to a piece of merchandise. I am the caretaker of my family which spiraled me into homelessness while continuing to make Instant Edges a profitable business. With the help of strangers, supporters, I made it into spaces where my idea could get some exposure. It all led to something.
Instant Edges Inc. – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am endeared as “The Edge Lady”. I am so proud that my idea is giving women hope in regaining daily confidence in their beauty. The tears, stories, and prayers motivate me everyday to keep pushing to make a difference in THEIR lives. I like to think of my product as going beyond skin deep, cosmetic appeal. This is confidence. This is power. We are bringing more strength to women’s journeys, not just their appeal.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is to continue even when it seems impossible. I basically became an overnight sensation with a product the world has never seen. How do you manifest a dream that the world has never seen? Success is in the ability to push your vision into a world that limits you by what’s already there. Believe in yourself.
