Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Reedy.
Dominique, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My name is Dominique Reedy. I am a 28 years old celebrity pet stylist. I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama. My love for pets started at a young age when I would visit my granny and all of her animals for the summer in Georgia. Once I was out on my own, I rescued an old poodle in need of a home. I named her MiMi. After being inspired by amazing groomers I saw online, I gained the courage to groom. I begin to dream even bigger and moved from Birmingham to Atlanta to obtain celebrity clientele. My business has continued to grow, and now I’ve worked with some of the biggest names in Atlanta.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My journey hasn’t been easy. I was put out of my home due to me being gay at 17. However, I didn’t let that stop me. With the odds stacked against me, I had to raise myself and learn life through trial and error. In many ways, I appreciate this because it has made me the ambitious individual I am today.

CutzByNique is one of a kind pet grooming service. We offer creative grooming where you can add fun, safe colors to your pet’s fur. We strive to make sure our pups are groomed to perfection. Our work has been featured on tv shows such as “Married to Medicine”, “Bring It”, & “Love & Hip Hop:Atlanta”. We will continue infusing pets and fashion so that the pups can receive the attention they deserve.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Soon, we plan to start offering one-on-one grooming classes and hosting seminars across the south. Our goal is to teach quality grooming of all levels. We are also expanding our brand by adding a pet and parent clothing line, “Bonafide Boss.” We are super excited about the future.
