Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Phoenix.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in Providence, Rhode Island where I first discovered magik. One night, when my daughter was an itty-bitty human, she woke me with her cries. I wanted to rid her of her discomfort so I focused all my energy into absorbing whatever was bothering her. It WORKED! Worked too well, actually. She instantly fell asleep and I was now holding in my own tears as I dealt with a stomachache. I knew exactly what I had done. I wanted to do it again and again without causing myself pain in return and that’s when I began practicing Reiki.
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing technique. I can now access the Universal Life Force Energy around us and direct into your be-ing without compromising my own energy or strength. Our bodies are incredible machines and capable of healing themselves. Reiki amplifies the energy in your own body and travels to the root of the problem.
I continued to practice Reiki when I moved to Atlanta but I knew I wanted more. The calling to become a massage therapist came out of nowhere. On a Thursday evening, I decided I was going to go to massage school and I started classes the following Monday. Let me tell you: BEST. DECISION. EVER.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I followed this path and let it become my life specifically because I wanted a peaceful journey. I face challenges when I am learning a new skill but it’s exciting. I love learning and if learning new modalities is my only challenge then I think I’m in good shape.

Ahhh! I am in love with my work. Being a massage therapist and Reiki practitioner is never boring. I am trained in many modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, Thai massage, hot stone, cold stone, pregnancy massage, and sports massage. Having experience in many different forms of healing keep things interesting. I provide custom massages where I blend a variety of modalities to make each experience different. I pay very close attention to the small details.
There are some therapists who are only into knot destruction and rehabilitation and on the other end of the spectrum there are therapists who solely use their skills to relax you. Both are great but you can find me right in the center of the healing spectrum. I’ll get those knots out AND help you escape your own mind.
I work from home in Tucker, GA but also offer mobile massage in and around Atlanta, GA. If you need chair massages for an event or employee appreciation, I’m your person!

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a bit of a risk taker. I was always looking for adventure and change. Taking chances and not knowing what will be on the other side is, like, my hobby.
