Today we’d like to introduce you to Timothy Dembowski, D.C., F.I.A.M.A.
Timothy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Toledo University where I obtained my undergraduate degree in Biology. My hobbies include snowboarding, camping, gardening and football. In 1994, I moved to Atlanta to attend Life University in which I graduated cum laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic and soon went on to complete a fellowship in Acupuncture.
I’ve been practicing for over 18 years now since opening in January of 2000, I have been committed to staying a step ahead of the curve by constantly learning new things and taking innovative approaches to healthcare. My passion and commitment to excellence is what I pride myself on.
I consider Atlanta Medical Clinic the center of excellence when it comes to healthcare as we strive to be the leaders in innovative therapy for the Atlanta area. At AMC, we create personal relationships with our patients, as we believe strong communication is the key to helping us help you achieve your healthcare goals without drugs and surgery.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
According to Michael E. Gerber in the E-Myth 80 % of all small business fails in the first 5 years. While AMC enters its 18 years of practice, heath care can still be a great challenge as the market is ever changing. From Obama Care to Trump Care to ever rising deductibles and out of pocket expenses, continuous education and having our finger on the pulse have been the key to our survival.
Atlanta Medical Clinic – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The comprehensive team at AMC prides ourselves in being a multi-discipline medical clinic that focuses on individualized care without drugs and surgery. Combining the best of the natural healing arts with modern medicine provides the best of both worlds for our patients.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment was successfully helping one of my patients that had been told knee replacement was her only option. After trying and failing all conservative treatments and therapy for stage 4 osteoarthritis, our medical team recommended a stem cell injection. Within hours of treatment she experienced significantly less swelling and pain and within a few months she is now 75-80% pain free!! Not only is she able to walk upstairs, stand and walk for long periods, but also has started to exercise again! Nothing gives me more joy than saving a patient from having surgery and providing her with a higher quality of life.
