Meet Aimee Moyet

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aimee Moyet.

Aimee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I originally started writing when I was deployed in Kuwait in 2015 with the United States Air Force. The year before, I walked away from a toxic, damaging relationship and I learned a lot from it and felt lead to start writing a “book” about it. That’s how I realized I had a love for writing. As I was going along figuring out how and where to use my gift for writing, I basically taught myself to build a website and that’s when my blog AimeeOfficially.com was born. My blog is my platform where I can vent, voice my opinions and teach my audience things that I had to go through fire to learn. After a year of writing about general life situations, I wanted to break down my niche just a little bit more. I really want to be known for ONE specific thing. As I prayed and prayed about it, God just reminded me of something that I do and been doing for the past ten years -Fitness.

With fear in my heart, I went ahead anyway and started a fitness section on my blog that’s dedicated just for fitness blogging. The reason why fitness means so much to me is because of my whole life when I was younger, I was overweight and gotten bullied for it. It scared me so much that I became obsessed with keeping myself healthy and happy. If you follow me on Instagram and my blogs on that platform you will get to my story deeper. Since I am transparent about my weight loss journey throughout the years, I had lots of people ask how they too can lose weight and keep it off. I was getting asked this a lot so just the other day I decided to piece together an eight week program Called OfficiallyFit to help my interested audience go through the same steps I took to lose weight but also take those same steps a make it habit to change it into a healthy lifestyle. We will be going into week two this week!! As I continue this journey of becoming a fitness blogger, this summer I will be taking the Certification test to become a personal trainer on paper officially!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has NOT been a smooth road trying to become an official blogger where people look forward to reading my stuff. The other biggest challenge has been juggling my full time job at a law firm, working out and making sure my family is taken care of. Juggling all this is hard especially when I need constant content to keep my readers engaged with me.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m a fitness blogger. I’m known for being real in my blogs about life, love, God and fitness. I believe what sets me apart from others, especially in the department of fitness, is that I give my audience the tools they need to become healthy, lose the weight and keep it off! I always use my own fitness journey when I was about 20 when I was 142 pounds standing tall at 4’11 all the way to now at 30 where all the weight that I lost, I have kept it off for about ten years now. I weigh about 110-112 pounds. And haven’t gained any of weight back.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as doing what you are passionate about and/or doing what you’re good at every day.
