Thanks for sharing your story with us Chandra. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
About a year ago, I decided to open a souvenir shop in Stone Mountain, Ga called Rock Steady Souvenirs and Gifts. The idea came about from years of wanting to open a business as well as scanning the city of Stone Mountain realizing that the city did not have an independent souvenir store as it is one of the most highly visited tourist attractions in Georgia. Through several brainstorming sessions to determine what Rock Steady would be, we came up with another business idea named Atlanta Clothing Co. It’s just that simple. As a result, the work began to build a fun clothing brand that represents the soul of Atlanta.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Anytime you start a business with limited funds, it never a smooth ride. However, we have been determined not to stop and to build a brand that the city and citizens of Atlanta can be proud of. More recently, we are encountering a pretty major obstacle with the spread of coronavirus. We have had to change our outlook for in-store purchases and direct all of our attention to our online store. The story that we hope to tell when this is all over is that we were able to persevere and that we came out on top.
Atlanta Clothing Company – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Atlanta Clothing Company is company that sells apparel and accessories that represent the city of Atlanta. We also sell products that represent the state of Georgia. We are known for our timeless and simple designs that exude what it means to be in Atlanta, whether you are a citizen or just passing through. It is our intention that when you buy our products that you will be able to feel the love, heart, and soul of Atlanta. Our motto is “Forever We Love Atlanta.” We are most proud of what we represent and what Atlanta Clothing Company represents. ACC (as we often refer to the business) is company of which Atlanta has never seen the likes of, we are very proud of that and that significantly sets us apart.
