Today we’d like to introduce you to Sakari Vick.

Sakari, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My name is Sakari Vick I go by Clutchoobandz I’m from Boston MA, lived out there till I was 11, then moved to GA. But growing up I been Back and forth between Boston and Atlanta through the years. I started making music back in 2018 but it started as a hobby me and friends were in my apartment freestyle rapping on YouTube beats and then I took a break and came back and made my first single “Bitch I’m the man” in the middle of Jun 2019. I grew up with the music background my mom was an R&B singer and also sings in a church choir and my older brother and cousins are an artist as well. Now I feel like music has not become just a hobby it’s a passion its something my life revolves around my plans is to use my creativeness and style to the world and hope people can listen to my music and feel like there jams a song you can listen to cause it gives a vibe or feel for that time it’s on and people can always say “That’s a classic.”

Where am I today? I dropped an Ep project called “Clutch Tape,” and I’m getting ready to drop a joint project with one of the homies. Currently trying to piece and plan my debut album at the end this year. Also working on an upcoming clothing line that is in the works.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say it has, but it is a challenging road and its something you have to dedicate too some struggles I feel like I faced was I didn’t feel confident in my sound at; first I had to find WHAT WORKS FOR ME and lean how to not just take advice but use the advice.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
What separates me from others is I know why I’m doing this , i know where I can be and I know how hard I work . I would never say I work harder than any would but I work work hard on my craft.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My personality in my music, also the relationship that I have with everyone that supports me.
