Meet Aijalon Singz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aijalon Williams.

Aijalon, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Music has always been a family gift finding out my cousin, Dennis Edwards was apart of the temptations really took me by surprise. I got started singing at the age of eight (8). Of course, it began in church. Going through high school, I realized the impact of what singing could do and wanted to pursue singing but didn’t know-how. My cousin was already recording and I spent days watching learning how he would make a whole song and get better each time. Myself being a competitive, matured person took on the challenge of making my own songs. Of course, it was trash lol, but the experience drove my ambition to be better vocally, in writing, and business-minded.

By the age of 19, in college, I would drive to Atlanta to record at my uncle’s home studio and really dig into writing, studying artists, the business, and the look. I began taking vocal lessons, artist development, and attending events. By 24, I found myself reaching out to artists such as Ro James to get insight and next thing I know. I’m sitting backstage at a Ro James concert downtown ATL politicking about the start of a career and how to start one. I began immediately writing songs putting out my first single and then 2020 my first album entitled “Rumination” from there the story truly started.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s never been a smooth road when you come into anything with no knowledge or a backing, but when you have a solid team, it makes it easier. Struggles I’ve experienced were always wanting to give up or thinking, “am I truly built for this”?

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I am a singer/songwriter/entertainer/comical person. I’m mostly known for my personality, whether it’s my music, the advice I give, or just unapologetically being myself, which also sets me apart from others because I know no one can be me but me. I’m most proud of myself for coming this far and still having that drive and passion and not folding under pressure.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
There are great people I would love to give credit for and that list is below:
God – for giving me this gift
Obndz (Owe Bands) – He does literally everything to songwriting/rapping/engineering/videography/photography list goes on.
Bobby Beige – phenomenal singer/songwriter/entertainer
Ms. Hunt – all-around entrepreneur and hustler
My Mother – for the undeniable support

It’s more people and they know who they are that getting the job done whatever it may be real go-getters around me.
