Today we’d like to introduce you to Quan Ballout.
Quan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started off as a producer making jersey club music which led me to make regular “Type beats” in 2016 I was in a bad car accident with my pops which had a lawsuit involving and Invested my money into my studio equipment. I feel like that was the best investment I’ve ever did since a teenager. I then started rapping in 2017 when I attention Stone Mountain high school. It gave me a name from just doing the school shows then started getting booked for bigger events with bigger names in the industry such as hood rich Pablo Juan, luh Dino, slaughter gang & way more.
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been a real tough tough road to get to where I’m at now. I’ve lost so many people physically and mentally. I’ll say in the last three years I’ve lost at least six people that was close to me. It’s been hard trying to focus and do what I needed to do because I know they don’t wanna see me go where I need to be.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
What set me apart, I think is my name, my appearance, my voice. I’m known for “ballout” a lot of my friends or people that may know me or who I am don’t really like when others call me quan, they say it’s too many quan’s in the world and not too many people who go by what I go by. What makes me proud as an artist is that I know how far I came far as music, I know a lot of people say follow your dream and you going to be alright but that saying really do work you just have to give it you’re all.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I think Atlanta is a great place to be far as making music. 9/10 when you show folks new music they are going to rock with it. It’s like when chic fil a first came out. They was on it and now look at it. On the other hand, I think it’s overpopulated with music don’t nobody really wanna help nobody now it’s either you got yourself or you don’t. Everything is about money.
