Meet David Nielsen of David Gallery in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Nielsen.

David, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Moved to Atlanta from Tallahassee, FSU, MFA, in art had jobs in the interior design fields. Taught at the design schools, started at a gallery selling for 10 years. Then started David Gallery, I am an artist and art dealer.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
All of life is a struggle, you get up and keep going, and create new ideas, and have good long term friends. I am an opportunist, and savant.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the David Gallery story. Tell us more about the business.
I am an artist and art dealer. My work is at Tew Galleries and exhibiting my paintings of Bigfoot. I had a show in February with paintings of gold and silver, acrylics, spirit animals, bear bison, horse, frogs and fish.

I have been selling art for clients or advising them what to do, that is David Gallery, work privately now. I buy and sell my art collecting also.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Every day is lucky just to get up and breathe. I meditate and keep thoughts that are conjecture away. It’s still a struggle, but what fun would it be if it wasn’t a struggle. Also, try to do for others, anyone who needs it, you can’t hurt others with our thoughts or we would all be dead.
