Meet Chez Rosenberg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chez Rosenberg.

Chez, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I began my personal natural hair journey about ten years ago. After mastering how to style my own hair, I realized I was extremely passionate about natural hair and decided to get my Cosmetology license. Immediately after finishing school, I was hired at Adell’s Natural Hair Salon (Austell, GA). The salon owner is a wonderful teacher and she taught me how to tighten up on my techniques. After working there for a year and a half, I decided to venture out on my own. My business is growing everyday and I’m constantly investing in myself so I can become an even better stylist for my clientele.

Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t completely been a smooth road. Upon finishing school and starting at the salon it took time and experience to perfect my techniques and build clientele. You learn along the way that sometimes no matter what you do, some people aren’t easy to please. A positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond has carried me a long way.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am a licensed Cosmetologist specializing in natural and transitioning hair. I’m known for treating and caring for my client’s hair while offering them options for natural hairstyles that don’t always include using direct heat. What I am most proud of as a company is having integrity as a stylist. I do my best to educate my clients about what their hair needs and I’m extremely passionate about my work. I’m not just giving the people what they want without emphasizing that the health of their hair should always come first. What sets me apart from others is that I strive to give my clients an experience where they feel educated and empowered to embrace their natural hair. It doesn’t matter what texture or curl pattern they have, they all have beautiful natural hair. We just have to learn how to take care of it. I take my time with each of my clients, gently detangling and walking them through each step, so they are completely comfortable in my chair.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I feel like Atlanta is a great place for so many businesses, especially black-owned. There are so many women in the natural hair community and it’s constantly growing. Atlanta would definitely be a great place to start!
