Brittany, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Amid the pandemic and all the negative circumstances surrounding us today, I sat down and found a sense of calmness and coping to deal with the issues that were happening around us. In the mist of the pandemic and the world slowing down, it gave me time to breathe, reset, and recollect on the things important to me. Even before the pandemic, I have always loved candles, crystals, and being in tune with my own internal peace. A few years back I began researching the candle making process and the business. However, I did not pursue beginning my business after gathering my research. I purchased a candle making kit at the beginning of January to try to create my own candles and scents. I did not use the kit until the end of the month and my candles turned out perfect and I was so happy. Still in that time, I did not begin my business. I wanted the perfect name, scents, and aesthetics for the brand I wanted to build. It was during the pandemic with everything slowing down that I was able to birth the full idea of my candle brand. Hence, the creation of Ascention Essentials arose. Ascend & Align in self-care. Offering essential conscious lifestyle items to create Sanctuary in your home.
Has it been a smooth road?
This journey has been fulfilling for me. This is something that I manifested and to see it unfolding is so rewarding. A struggle for me was being too critical on myself. I kept pushing back getting started and seeking perfection at every tiny detail. So, my biggest struggle was to start. But I learned, start now, where you are, and with what you have. Just start.
Please tell us about the business.
My business is Ascention Essentials. Currently I am offering crystal infused candles to help people ascend and align in their own realm of peace. The crystals chosen are some that personally resonate with myself and I carry around daily. I encourage customers to set their intentions and manifest their desires while enjoying fragrant filled scents. My candles are handmade with 100% soy wax. I will be adding other conscious lifestyle items, such as sage, crystals, and room sprays to the business in the near future. I am most proud that my vision for my business has come into fruition and I am receiving such positive feedback and support. I believe in manifesting your dreams and desires. This business is a direct of aligning with my manifestations. As a business, I am different than others in my design and concept. I incorporated my love for candles, crystals. and ascending into peace to create my individual brand.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
ATLANTA! I love Atlanta. I love that our city is blooming so many entrepreneurs and that it is a creative city to go for your dreams. Atlanta is a city where people create their own identity and walk in their own path. Atlanta is home and I will forever love home.
