Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Houghton and Jessica Peltier.
HOUGHTON: Having traded in Northern Ireland for the Southern US seven years ago, Jessica Houghton knows what it’s like to make a big move. Her exceptional ability to relate to her clients is just one of the many reasons she’s one of the most distinguished agents in Atlanta.
While earning a B.S. from Queens University Belfast, Jessica began working for a property developer in Northern Ireland. Here, she was introduced to real estate through the lens of residential constructions and developed an interest in the home buying process. After making the move to Atlanta, she decided to become a real estate agent and immediately fell in love with serving her clients—something she’s been doing for the past seven years.
PELTIER: Jessica Peltier is a southerner through-and-through. Though she grew up in North Carolina, after graduating magna cum laude from NC State University, she made the move to Atlanta, where she has been living ever since.
After college, Jessica began working in medical consulting, which required extensive traveling. In 2014, she decided she wanted to settle down and got into real estate. Her consulting experience, as well as her various leadership positions in college, made her a natural. Her combination of sales and marketing prowess earned her the prestigious Rookie of the Year title after less than 12 months in the business and has made her one of Atlanta’s fastest-rising stars.
The Jessicas officially partnered in January of 2019 when they joined Compass.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Each real estate transaction is very different and we’ve certainly had our fair share of struggles with specific deals and homes that had a surprise around every corner, but the challenges are what we love to overcome in this business. If we didn’t love a struggle, we wouldn’t be in real estate!
