Today we’d like to introduce you to Breanna Brown.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Breanna. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am the CEO of bOUItique. I have been in business since 2016. “OUI” is inspired by my middle name is Ouilanni. It is a Hawaiian name meaning beautiful flower. Fashion has always been my passion since I was a little girl. My mother Laketa who is the co-founder also played a huge role behind the love for fashion. She was one of the many reasons bOUItique was created due to her support.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As I stated before, I have been in business since 2016 and it has definitely not been a smooth road. I am still not where I would like to be, but definitely striving to be better and do better as a business owner. For me being an entrepreneur takes a lot of time and dedication and I’ve noticed that I’m always learning something new everyday. Some of the struggles for me overtime has been gaining the traffic as in customer purchases, figuring out what different marketing techniques work best for me, and finding specific vendors with quality products that meet my standards to sell to my customers. However, I am happy to say that things are picking up for my business.

bOUItique offers high-quality clothing for women up to a size 2X and we offer limited edition apparel to all of our customers. bOUItique is all about helping build a foundation of confidence and self-expression for women who love fashion. We like to sell different pieces that stand out and we keep in consideration of what we feel our customers would be most comfortable with spending on our products offered. Also, when our customers wear our products, the goal is for them to feel even more confident not only in themselves but in what they wear. What makes bOUItique stand out is because we are all about making a FASHION STATEMENT, saying “I AM HERE”. Our mission is to take risks and make fashion your passion! Overall, I am most proud of my business continuous growth.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was an outgoing little girl who was very sweet and loved to make friends and play. As I got older, like in middle school and high school is when I really gained an interest in fashion and how I looked or presented myself. In school, many of my peers always would say how I always dressed different or unique. I have always been that way, wanting to stand out and not be the same as everyone else. Then in high school is when everything really took off with my interest in fashion, especially when my mom introduced me to wearing heels. That is when I instantly transformed into a diva and the rest is history!
