Meet Triena Smith of Triena Deniese in West Midtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Triena Smith.

Triena, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My journey is simple, life took me exactly where it wanted me to be. In 2014, I launched what I thought would be a simple lifestyle blog, documenting my adventures, travels, and daily inspiration. This blog quickly took a lead of its own. After sharing some of my content for a few months, my audience’s interest quickly shifted from where I was going to what I was wearing. In an instant, I became a popular plus size fashion blogger! Today, I still share plus size fashion advice but I sprinkle in some of my favorite moments in marriage and motherhood. You can find me sharing my love for living a FULL live all over Atlanta, every single day on my Instagram page and blog.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing good ever comes easy. The road to being an influencer has been long and hard. But I have learned that with consistency comes reward. Every time my engagement dropped, every time I lost followers, it was because I wasn’t being consistent. I have learned that in anything in life, you have to continuously put forth effort to make stand the test of time.

Please tell us about Triena Deniese.
Triena Deniese is a lifestyle brand. I share my insight on life and people value my opinion. My life’s story has evolved into a bit of hope for black plus size women who want their happily ever after. The see my life, my relationship with my husband, my new son Brave, and how we truly exemplify black love and it gives them hope. That is what I am most proud of; being able to be the light in such a dark space. Being able to help someone realize that their good thing is coming. It’s beautiful.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would have been more consistent earlier on. But since I can’t start over, I’ll just enjoy the journey now.
