Today we’d like to introduce you to Dynastee “Honest” Harris.
Dynastee “Honest”, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
ThottyGirlEnt started about two years ago. I was in the midst of a messy divorce when I attempted to seek happiness within a group of promoters to help uplift my spirits. In turn, I was bullied saying I couldn’t be apart of the group because I was a “thot” and that my body was “bought” amongst a host of other demeaning comments.
I turned that hurt into my own promotion company for brand ambassadors, hence, ThottyGirlEnt was born! Through hard work, networking and perseverance, I now help other small businesses who are struggling with social media marketing, branding and building their funnel, find their path with their business. It’s my belief that you don’t have to be popular to turn a profit! With the right marketing material and identifying your target audience, I am able to help the smallest sole proprietor gain profitable following and see a glimmer of hope where there was doubt!
I have also started a new homemade soy candle company called Land and Sea Candles and Waxes. If this pandemic has taught me anything, it’s to be recession proof. I believe that nowadays, you have to have a 9 to 5, a career path and two side hustle AT LEAST to start your journey to financial freedom. This is to ensure that even if one source of income is halted for any reason, you have several other things to fall back on. My mom used to always say “One Monkey Don’t Stop The Show”; simple analogy but speaks volumes in 2020! I am thankful that I was able to turn my disparity into a reputable brand and I love doing the same for others who may have had the same misfortunes.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to success has been a rocky road but that’s my favorite ice cream so I’m not surprised! It’s hard to be a female promoter in a male-dominated industry! Earning the hearts of the public, their trust and their attention can be an uphill battle. Especially if you’re not gaining traction by being in drama or popular by association. I’ve always said I wanted to leave my mark on my community by being positive and a pillar or knowledge to my people. I know the road has been difficult for me so I often provide 30 minute free consultations to brands that are struggling to encourage and provide small tidbits that can help take them to the next level! It’s not always about a quick coin but more so about giving small tokens of information that my clients can take with them and turn into a profit.

I specialize in social media marketing, brand consulting, promotion specialist, event coordinating, marketing collateral, image consulting, party/night club promotions, platform analysis, funnel expert, website building, publications, life coaching and brand management. I am most proud of being able to help people who are oftentimes overlooked. I fight for the underdogs and I pride myself on being a constant source of support for anyone who needs it! I think what sets me apart from everyone else is that I use my platform for help others turn a profit oftentimes for little to no profit on my end. It’s important to me because I have always been considered the black sheep or put on a back burner but I’ve fought my way to the top with the last bit of energy I had! Now that I’m here, I’m reaching back to help my sisters and brothers in my community get to where they want to go as well! I’m different because I am for the people! I believe in those who lost faith in themselves. I am here to help anyone who doesn’t know how to help themselves. I encourage those with smaller voices and stand behind them as they find their path and blaze their trail! I enjoy branding and nothing warms my heart more than seeing someone happy after reaching goals they didn’t think were possible!
I am also a Podcast host for This Crazy world of Chaos under a new show called Cocktails and Clouds with Chaos and Honest. We focus on trending topics, world news and ratchet news while sipping on a cocktail of the week. This podcast can be found on Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, iTunes and streamer internet radio! Along with my hosting, a lot of my online presence comes from me doing comedy as one of my favorite past times! I’ve had videos go viral by accident. The most views I’ve had on one video was 75k. I enjoy making people laugh through making myself laugh. Comedy is the key to my success! Being personable and giving people the gift of laughter gives me the encouragement I need to keep going.
Gossip Lounge in Stone Mountain is now the new home for ThottyGirlEnt! I have partnered with two amazing promoters Prada K Kinnard and Alex Tucker to bring Sold Out Saturdays! This is my newest venture and I’m super excited to spread great vibes and learn from two of the hottest in the game!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In the last two years, I’ve worked with businesses extending from rap artists to chefs to boutiques to food trucks, etc. In the next 5-10 years, I look forward to expanding on that and opening an office here in Atlanta that will act as the hub for all small businesses looking to increase their carbon footprint on our generation. Under ThottyGirlEnt, I have a sub brand called “Twerking and Networking” which promotes healthy fun activities that increases confidence and comradeship while building friendships that can turn into business relationships. I plan on expanding this platform and creating a center that will be the go-to place for individuals who need an extra push or group of equally motivated entrepreneurs that will band together and make sure each other succeeds.
