Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel White.
Rachel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m 23. I’ve had my own successful photography business for eight years. I am almost done with my A.A. in Psychology, which I began in March of 2019. I have kept a 4.0 throughout my college career and I am looking forward to maintaining it as I go on to complete a Business degree and perhaps law school as well! I love to sing. My favorite artists are Lana Del Rey (I seriously model my life after her persona), Arctic Monkeys, Johnny Cash, Jason Isbell, and (plot twist) Rhianna. I’ve always lived in GA, but have moved all over to places such as Gainesville, Lilburn, Dahlonega, and now Athens. I have a five-year-old rescue pup named Ellie, who is the light of my life. Additionally, I LOVE true crime podcasts, thriller novels by female authors, and every documentary ever made for Netflix. I adore travel and have been to places such as Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Norway, and more. When I’m not busy doing all those other things, you can often find me spending time with the sweetest guy I know and my life partner of six years, Gabriel.

I absolutely adore medieval fictional media like Skyrim and Game of Thrones
I have played classical piano for eighteen years and guitar for eight
Charcuterie is my favorite way to snack and I always have it on hand
I an ENFJ-P and an enneagram 4w3
I own exactly forty-nine pairs of shoes and the count is ever-growing.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It makes me really excited to know that I started this business from the ground up, and I did it all by myself! It is such an incredible feeling to know that my hard work has gotten me to where I am today. The largest obstacle along the way has just been learning that trusting the process is the ONLY way to run a successful business. In regard to my education, after high school, I had the impression that I couldn’t cut it in college and that I would never attend. WELL, here I am halfway done with my B.S. and I have a 4.0! Anything is possible for those who try.

As a wedding photographer, I have eight years of experience under my belt and a constant five-star review track record. I have had the incredible opportunity of traveling the world to do what I love, photography. I live in Athens, GA but consider myself both a local and destination wedding photographer. (I often travel out of state and country to photograph weddings!) I am always yearning to travel and recently my company did a wedding in Norway!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Ambition. Never giving up on a dream. An eye for creating beauty. Good people skills.
