Meet Nathan Delva of Envision Apparel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathan Delva.

Nathan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Envision: to imagine as a future possibility, to visualize.

I created the name Envision Apparel because I saw a bright future. This clothing line has small pieces of art that I incorporate in each item. The small Chinese symbol that’s used as an A represents the trial and error you have to go through before finally reaching your success that you’ve always been grinding for (FUTURE). When you see a future in something, just put all your work into it, stay consistent and god will guide you to the finish line. I visualize a successful future by sharing my creations with the world. I truly have a passion for fashion. Envision something that will benefit your future family.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This road was not smooth at all. I had a couple of times where I wanted to quit. At times my other dreams got in the way such as modeling, dancing, and acting. It took for me to sit back and regain focus on my end goal. Which is to provide a successful future for my current and future family. There were some times I put out items and they would sell out so quick. I also had times where some items would be in stock for weeks and I could not figure out why I was not selling like the previous item. While going through these obstacles, I learned that people will support you as much as you support and push yourself. I say that to say the key to success in this business all starts with consistency. You might not get sells the first day but as long as you stay consistent, your hard work will not go unnoticed. Hard work always pays off in the long run.

Envision Apparel – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Envision Apparel was established in 2015. While in college pursuing my degree, I always had a passion for fashion. The first item I ever created for my brand was a dashiki, which symbolized the black culture. I wanted something that could relate to my peers and support the movement of black lives. As my brand began to flourish, I created more items that would relate to the college crowd. My company’s focus is to build a big enough establishment in order to provide jobs for young teens and college students in the near future. Also, to inspire the youth the follow their dreams.

I am currently a New York Fashion Week model while running my own business of a clothing line. I specialize in creating unique items that are distressed, have unique accessories and can be worn at high fashion events. I specialize in making custom made handmade items that are one of one meaning no one else will be seen wearing the same item as you. I specialize in making custom made handmade items that are one of one meaning no one else will be seen wearing the same item as you. As a company, I am proud that five years down the line we are still progressing towards the end goal of having our own store. I am also thankful for the amount of support that I have gotten throughout the years. What sets my company apart from others is our unique style of fashion, many of the items created are not something you will see at the mall or in stores. These items have a color transition and accessories that will break necks at any high fashion event.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me means being financially comfortable enough to support your family and friends. Also, being able to provide a job or source of income for young entrepreneurs that want to strive in the same field or dream setting as you. Lady but not least success to me is the art of never giving up on something you have a passion for. I stand firmly behind quality over quantity I’m a huge stickler on making sure my items are top tier fabric and presentation is on point.
