Shanice, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Founded in 2020, Luxe Beauty Collection By Thiccums was started because of a dream that led me into something that was once just a fantasy. While making this dream come true, I was also having visions that led the way. The visions directed me in a more spiritual direction. I am a believer and I followed the guidance of my visions and dreams and added it into my brand. Luxe beauty offers items that are good for you inside and out.
My lip glosses are handmade with love. Luxe Beauty offers 12 unique different colors and every color was customized by me. All the colors can also make great combinations that complement each other to change the shade for your desired look. In my vision it told me to add crystals to my collection so crystals in gloss! Yes, that’s a thing. I cleanse each crystal of their energy and recharge it with love and positivity after each purchase before adding it into the gloss or heart tin container.
I have a degree in Sociology, and I believe that beauty is more than skin deep. There is a lot of negative energy out in the world that tells us otherwise. But it is up to us to protect our own energy. I am putting my brand out there in the hopes of being different and having items to protect one’s inner and outer beauty. I already have a passion for people, make-up, and beauty so this collection was a dream come true.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Getting the things I need to start my business was pretty smooth. I did gave some trial and error in the making. But, overall my products are amazing and great quality. I am struggling with sales but I pray that things get better down the road. Starting new, it’s hard to get people to trust and believe in my brand.

I sell products to promote inner and outer beauty. Lip Gloss, Crystal Lip Gloss, Matte-ish Lipstick + Lip Liner Duo, Facial Toner, Shimmer Oil, Healthful Bliss Lavender Oil, Lashes, Crystals, Sun Glasses, and more, I have items for all genders. I also host a mental health day every Wednesday on my Instagram. Nobody participates in it yet, but as a brand I want people to know that I believe in mental health and it is a thing. Even if you don’t purchase from me, I still care. I am proud that I took a leap of faith and started this beauty brand while taking a different approach in the beauty world.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always driven by success. I always wanted to be someone that would make a difference. My parents had me at a very young age so everything I did was to make them proud. I am goofy and full of life. I am a very good person that always stay drama free.
