Meet LoyalTee

Today we’d like to introduce you to LoyalTee.

LoyalTee, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I go by the name of LoyalTee. An independent artist from the East side of Atlanta. I grew up in a one parent household with two older brothers. Growing up I had my challenges and obstacles I had to face. I’ve always been independent and strong minded but I’ve always had trouble with finding my purpose. I was the lil light skin Tom boy girl from the neighborhood so I always felt like an outsider until I found music. Music for me was just a play around thing. Once I made my first song, I let my family listen and they were feeling it so from there I went all in. Made my first debut song called “Loyalty” & it did good numbers out the box. Shortly after I remixed, NBA Youngboy ‘Outside Today’ song & went viral, shooting a video that touched 300k+ views. Ever since then, Music has been my outlook, my freedom & my purpose. I use my tool in music to encourage, & tell my story. I could never stop. I won’t ever stop, not even after the world know my name.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In this industry it can be tough. You can literally get lost in what they see you as. I’ve never been the girl with the sex appeal or make up every day. Getting into this business I found myself transitioning into that which is hard lol. In a way it helps me grow, notice things about myself that I never really knew. I can be the sexy, pretty girl, but I’ll always stay true to myself. Being laid back and natural. In this kind of work, you just have to watch who you keep around, it’s either real love and support or fake love and support. Most of the time is all fake. Something I’ve learned the most, can’t have no feeling in this line of work.

Tell us about your work – what should we know?
A real hip-hop, taste of RnB artist. Known best for my rapping, hip hop side. Biggest thing that I’m proud of in the three years I’ve been doing music is being strong enough to keep going when it gets hard. When it comes to genre’s, it’s nothing that I can’t do. Eat up any beat sent my way, that’s what makes me different than most and set me apart from any artist.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The ability to learn, open to taking other opinions on my work. Good or bad.
