Mark, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up, I always loved comedy because I saw the power in it to bring ppl together. I remember watching “The Kings of Comedy” and falling in love with stand up, especially after seeing Bernie Mac captivate an audience with his larger than life personality. I started pursuing a career in entertainment about two years ago. I had zero fans and nobody knew of me so I decided to use social media. I created a character known as “Mr Willie,” a crazy hilarious relatable uncle. Soon my videos started going viral and I reached over 150,000 followers. With my character well established, I began doing voiceovers videos that exploded on social media, reaching ten million views a month. Most notable is “Slow Down PeeWee” that reached five million views on Twitter and reposted by Funny Mike on Instagram and featured on MTV’s Ridiculousness.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, the road has been far from smooth for me. I remember when I told my family and friends I wanted to be a comedian, they laughed and said, get a real job. I didn’t let that stop me from pursuing my dreams. I worked retail sales jobs to support my dreams making good money because ppl would love my personality and buy from me but one day, I lost my job and fell on hard times. During that time, I told myself I wouldn’t work for anyone else but myself. So I began pursuing comedy full-time. Fast forward two years later, I have over 250,000 Followers on social media. Never give up on your dreams.

I’m a comedian, actor, and entertainer my comedy is real, relatable and hilarious. I love storytelling on stage. I want my audience to feel as if they were there when everything happens. I’m most proud of how far I have come in a short period of time. I have so much more to accomplish; it’s only the beginning.
