Today we’d like to introduce you to Alina Cirstea.
Alina, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started taking photos when I was very young, of everything. I started taking it more seriously two years ago, though, and I’ve met a lot of my closest friends because of it. Art for me, has always been a way to express how I’m feeling without having to say anything. My ideas come from emotion and inspiration from other creatives.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not exactly; though I have met some really good people along the way, there has definitely been some negativity. I think the most important thing to keep in mind is that your art is YOURS. No one can tell you how you’re supposed to feel or how you’re supposed to express that.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
One thing that I’m proud of is how none of my art is the same. I think that sometimes we feel emotions so differently from one another, so I use art as an example of how fluctuating our moods and ideas are. I love capturing memories at the moment, without being overly staged. This is one reason I love working with other creatives: we are always bouncing ideas off of each other.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I would love to continue shooting everything! I think that there are so many things around us that we don’t necessarily pay attention to, and I would love to show the world my view on how we exist. I would like to continue to collaborate with other artists; we always learn so much from one another and it’s all love.
