Meet Christophe Le Metayer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christophe Le Metayer.

Christophe, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
At thirteen, I was asked what I wanted to do professionally. The chef was the answer. Don’t ask me why. At sixteen, I graduated with two diplomas from a cooking school. Since then, I worked in France, Monte Carlo, Denmark, USA. From the most simple restaurants to 3 Michelins stars restaurant. Had a business in these three countries. In 2010, I had to close a store in Alpharetta. I decided that since not enough customers didn’t come to my store doorsteps, I will go to their house doorsteps. In August of that year, I started to deliver ready to eat meals to homes. Our company is delivering meals throughout metro Atlanta.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a road with some speed bumps. Nothing out of the ordinary, though. A bad burn putting me out of a partnership. Having a restaurant at 25 while raising two children. Divorce. Closed a store.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are a ready to eat meals delivery company. We also cater for any type of event. Lastly, we are launching a brand of snacks. Every week we are posting a new menu. We have different types of diets (keto, paleo, vegan, vegetarian) on the menu. We are getting up early to cook fresh ingredients. We are known for the quality of our food and customer service. We have the chance to work in a large kitchen. A few weeks ago, we changed our model of operation. We are sharing the kitchen. Chefs and restaurants have the possibility to sell their food on the plate form. This gives to our clients to have a broader choice on the menu and for chefs to embrace the meal delivery model.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Working in a restaurant that got rewarded 3 Michelin stars. Having my own restaurant in the Michelin guide in France. Have understood in 2010 that ready to eat meals home delivery will be the way to go.
