So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
This was not supposed to happen, but what the devil meant for evil, God definitely meant for good. Having started in corporate America nearly 20 years ago, a detour to education was made. In four short years, I went from teacher to principal at the age of 24. Six years later, I would be tapped to lead the 25th largest school system in the country. Gaining national and international attention, politics came into play, and I left Baltimore County wounded but not killed. I now have leadership development and strategic planning consulting practice with over 60 clients in over six industries. In three short years, I am blessed that I have the opportunity to tell a successful comeback story.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Hell no! To be frank, the Internet allows for instant access to anyone. Besides the Internet, because the practice is branded off of me, it is expected that folks want you to clone yourself, which isn’t possible.
