Meet Avery Brown of AveryB in Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Avery Brown.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Avery. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all started when I was unable to finish my wrestling season in high school due to the flu. I was so used to being busy every day and night that when I was sidelined, I had nothing to do. The boredom and curiosity lead to me making short videos and skits and uploading them unlisted to YouTube for my eyes only. Eventually, someone got the link and sent it to our close group of friends and the next day of school, people were talking about the video. From there, I started to post them publicly and I couple years later, I have over 8 million lifetime views on my YouTube channel.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t believe any road to success is easy, but when you truly have a passion for something, you’ll definitely stick to it and make it work. Most people fall off due to a lack of consistency and results. The biggest struggle for me was definitely having no results; imagine spending hours editing a video and only getting two views. Imagine doing that for a year straight and never giving up. That’s what made me who I am today.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about AveryB – what should we know?
I run a YouTube channel with more than 140,000 subscribers and I am most proud of the fact that I did it on my own. Lots of people today think that you need a handout in order to be successful on a platform when in all actuality, hard work and consistency is the only cheat code for success. I believe when you embody that strategy, you’ll be successful longer than if you got things handed to you.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I have to give a lot of credit to a special someone in my life; they’ve been by my side since the student-athlete days and have been a true supporter since I’ve met them.
