Meet Kyle House

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle House.

Kyle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started off as a personal trainer in Murfreesboro, TN. I knew I wanted more out of the fitness lifestyle so I ventured into the world group fitness and got my indoor cycling certification, Bootcamp certification, 200-hour yoga teacher training, and performance nutrition certification.

After gaining over a decade of experience in the fitness industry, I wanted a way to combine my three favorite ways to workout: Weight lifting, cardio, and yoga. Thus, Kyle House Fitness was born in September of 2016! We like to Run, Lift, and Flow and believe everyone has the opportunity to look good, feel good, and have fun along the way!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Acquiring our physical location. For KHF was the biggest struggle. We were rejected 17 times from different landlords. Finally, the 18th try, we landed a nice deal in the Southside of Chattanooga, TN. Finding the right team was also one of the most challenging things. It is so important to not let negative attitudes and personalities slide. There is no room for that nonsense if you are looking to build a solid team!

We’d love to hear more about your work.
KHF offers group HIIT classes we call HIIPfit (High-Intensity Interval Programming) and Personal Training. We recently have added virtual classes and training sessions, which have been a huge hit. We are known for our welcoming, caring, and positive vibes. Fitness is tough and challenging for a lot of people. I wanted a space where EVERYONE feels welcome. We have a judgment-free studio that is all about helping our community.

I am proud that, over the years, we have been able to partner with local businesses to help raise money for local charities and causes. What sets us apart from everyone else is our unique format and training method. Run-Lift-Flow. Not just the format, but the energy that is very apparent when you step into the studio. Positive vibes only!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally define success in my business, where I can step back and watch my team run the show without me needing to be there, where I have taught and educated my team enough to carry the torch and be a champion of KHF. I also think of success in my team’s satisfaction in their job. I also consider my business a success when I can create career paths for my trainers, instructors and managers.
