Today we’d like to introduce you to Conquella Essex.
Conquella, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born in Saginaw, MI and raised on the southside, Riverdale, GA. I graduated from North Clayton High School. I started out at Clayton State University, where I earned my BS in Psychology and Human Services. I then went on to earn my MBA in 2017 and that when I started my own consulting/professional writing business. I am currently working on my PhD in business psychology.
Has it been a smooth road?
My road has not been smooth by far. I had all three of my children while pursuing my college degrees. I left a long term domestic violence relationship and that was very hard to do, especially having two of my three children from this relationship. As a single mother, that’s where my motivation comes from. I know that I have to provide for them and set a positive example. It’s still not easy per say but I’ve come a long way from where I started. My kids are happy and healthy, I’m happy, and I’m continuing to accomplish my goals.

I specialize in helping entrepreneurs, both aspiring and established, develop their business. I do everything from filing their business in their state, getting them an EIN number, and establishing business credit. I also write business plans, business proposals, contracts, and more. I am also a mobile Notary public. I am proud that my company is able to help individuals, especially the African American community. What sets me apart is my passion for the business and my customer service. No matter what level your business is on, each of my clients will get superb service and quality work from me.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love my city. Atlanta is a melting pot of black excellence. A lot of people here are motivated to start a business and/or excel in their career. We are definitely a city of hustlers.
