Jacaura, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve been in the cleaning industry for over ten years. I’ve worked at some of the most prestigious hotels in downtown Atlanta and surrounding areas. While working for these different hotels, I mastered the art of cleaning, going from housekeeper to Supervisor. By 2017 I had a clear understanding of the Housekeeping Department and there were some things I did not like. I wanted to learn more about General Management, but even more than that, I wanted learn how to start my own corporation. I did my research for the business side of things and from there, “Caura’s Cleaning & Restoration Services” was birthed and I never looked back.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Everything! Organizing, orchestrating a strategy on how to operate. Building a team and time management! Struggling to grow our brand. I fell short on this one of many times and went back to work at Swissport as a warehouse agent. Then a Load Planner/GSC Agent. Trying to find balance, working tirelessly cleaning commercial buildings and planning aircraft loads. Working crazy hours, early morning and late at night. Then the anxiety of not seeing my children awake in the morning or not putting them to bed at night became too much. I NEEDED A NEW WORK SCHEDULE BUILT AROUND THEM! So I resigned from Swissport and went full throttle with Caura’s Cleaning & Restoration Services.

We clean buildings, houses etc. Any condition or square footage. Nothing is too big or too small. We specialize in restoring properties: freshening and refreshing homes, offices and warehouses. We are known for giving above satisfactory quality of work, beyond the customer’s expectations. We are able to do this because our team is so passionate about all that we do.
