Meet Relly Jade

Today we’d like to introduce you to Relly Jade.

Relly, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My name is Brielle, but you can call me Relly. When most people are looking to try something new and have fun while doing so, I’m usually who they end up meeting. My great passion is bringing joy to people who aren’t afraid to step outside of their comfort zones. I’ve helped to spread happiness to many people from all ages and ethnicities through music, dance, art, modeling and martial arts.

My story has more depth, rewinding back to my childhood. I can only thank my parents for exposing me to multiple creative outlets such as music, dance and art, only for these talents to carry themselves with me until this day. From childhood, I first learned Jazz, Tap. I have danced recitals, joined dance teams, to competitions. Later, I studied Ballroom Dance at Ballroom Dance Clubs and later taught at other dance studios, Dancing 4 Fun Dance Studio, www.Dancing4Fun.com & Academy Ballroom. I worked at Painting With A Twist for a few years, teaching kids and adults. My website is still under construction, but by the end of this year, my artwork will be sold online as well as other accessories.

I have been recording music since about 2008. I’ve experienced many trials and tribulations but nothing is completely stopping me. I’ve taken a hiatus from music for the past few years to mainly focus on finding myself. Thank God, I took that time because not only was I able to strengthen my other talents, I managed to find love and start my own family along the way. I’m grateful to have performed many shows locally in Atlanta and out of state. I have multiple projects out on all platforms and am currently recording my newest project from my Love Goat series, “Love Goat IV.”

Besides my work from home side hustles, I currently work part-time at a martial arts dojo, where we teach HapKiDo. I’m an assistant instructor, helping assist and teach the beginner students. I’m grateful I am able to learn, teach and grow here. HapKiDo has and still is putting my mind, body and soul to work, everyday. Overall, I’ve learned to distinguish what my passion, hobby, and career is. I am now working on all of these things, on top of being a new mom and can guarantee I will find many other new avenues to try in the future.

Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all. Sometimes there are moments where it seems like I’m cruising on autopilot, but for the most part, life is always crashing into me. Life wouldn’t be as fun if everything were so easy. I appreciate my challenges and obstacles because I know there’s always a lesson waiting for me to learn. You need that knowledge for your next step.

Some challenges I have faced such as relocation, immobility, doubt, insecurities, overthinking, lack of trust in business relationships, break-ups, pregnancy… need I say more? I can keep going lol. I’m still grateful for experiencing all of these.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I said RellyJade.com is my business because I am my business. Until I come up with a cool name that represents all of me, this is what I have to work with for now lol. I am a teacher. I can teach you many things. I specialize in dance. I’m am most proud of myself for wanting to share my joy and knowledge with the world in different ways for people to receive. I want to wake and shake your senses (Sonically, visually or physically). I am proud of myself for understanding what my underlining goal is in life next to the other miscellaneous things I want to still try and do as I grow with time.

My goal is for you to smile in awe at my colors, move your body and sing the words to my music, and possibly know how to defend yourself whenever you need to. It could all be so simple lol. I’d say I’m most known from my music. It’s reached many countries outside the U.S. People know me from a lot of things, whether it be from the dance community, work, or martial arts.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I believe COVID has shifted everyone’s objectives and perceptions of what direction to take their business in. Unfortunately, COVID has greatly affected to dance community but we are slowly but surely coming back strong. I may look into teaching dance virtually via zoom by next year, depending on what’s going on with the world.

I am still and will always teach private/group lessons in person for any occasion, with social distancing and sanitization adjustments. I will always be a teacher: student and creator. I am also getting into real estate so hopefully, within the next five years, I’ll have a hang of the industry. I also hope to be living out of the country within the next 5-10 years. Not sure where, but not here, lol. Overall, I only hope for the best with my future. I wish for more knowledge, growth, stability and travel.
