Meet Janae’ Bailey of CNJ Party Rental in Metro Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janae’ Bailey.

Janae’, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
How I started this business was by always having a passion for trying to make my kids have the best experience possible when it came to their birthdays or any event we had in general. I am the mother of two precious little boys, Carter and Carmelo. I know kids enough having fun and I know it doesn’t take much to satisfy kid(s). So one day I sat and texted my mother and told her, “So since I’m always throwing parties for the boys, I think I want to start doing party rentals myself.” And from that day forward, I talked with my mother and my boyfriend everyday telling them my plans and what I wanted to do. They both were very supportive of me and told me to write it all down and let’s make it happen. So once I had it all mapped out, I began telling myself now I have to start somewhere.

So when I started out, I would bug my boyfriend everyday about buying things. Whether it was a bounce house, concession machines, etc. and he never hesitated to help. So I started off small with only purchasing 3 concession machines and two toddler size bounce houses. My mother instantly applied for my LLC and my EIN number for me and started working on a website for me. She’s not good at computer and building websites, but she wanted to help me so bad she tried still. Lol, and man, she worked so hard and long, sometimes even until 5 am. We couldn’t seem to get the website up and going, so we took a set back from it and just focused on me trying to grow my business. I instantly changed my personal Instagram page into my business page and I created a new personal page for myself. Everyone around me was so supportive without me even having to ask. Whether it was them just randomly shouting out my business on their social media accounts or them always recommending my services to someone who they knew were looking for event items.

As we started to grow, I started adding more and more items each day. Tents, Kids and adults chairs and tables, waterslides and much more. As I began adding more items I then created a listing on the Facebook Marketplace to attract more customers to my business. Everyday I received a new message regarding booking. At that point I knew, okay it’s time for me to start figuring out this website again because this is become a bit much for me to try and keep track of myself without a website. So my friend Taylor, (Owner of Hues of Bleu) sat at my house with me was working on her website for her clothing line one day and I was like “Taylor please help me with my site”… That girl is so creative lol. So she worked on her site for about a week and after she finally got her site published she then began working on a site for me. It took us almost three weeks because we couldn’t figure out how to add the booking calendar to the website. We both go so frustrated and I said “I give up”, but the moment I said that was the moment I figured out how to add the booking calendar and there we had it.

A live website FINALLY! I smiled and was beyond happy. Believe it or not Taylor is the same person every event that’s scheduled she comes alone to help me set up and break down each party. We’ve got rained on together setting up a party and not once did she ever complain. It’s amazing to have a friend like her by my side. Someone who’s determined to not only help you but also determined to see you win. So as the owner and operator of CNJ’s PARTY RENTALS, Janae’ Bailey, had a vision; to provide a full-service event and party rental company in Atlanta, Georgia that would strive to not only meet customers’ rental needs, but also be a resource for everything related to throwing the perfect special event.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve had a few struggles alone the way because mind you starting out I was trying to transport all of this party rental equipment back and forth in my car… Lol yes IN MY CAR. I started growing so much to the point where my boyfriend and I would some days have to drive both his car and my car just to deliver all of this equipment to events. It was so frustrating and I felt like I was taking up so much of his time when he had things of his own to do as well. But he’s so selfless that he never not once complained even when I could see the frustration on his face.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about CNJ Party Rental – what should we know?
I had a vision to provide a full-service event and party rental company in Atlanta, Georgia that would strive to not only meet customers’ rental needs, but also be a resource for everything related to throwing the perfect special event. I specialize in all party equipments. From Bounce houses, concession machines, INFLATABLE MOVIE SCREENS, chairs and tables and much more. I think what sets me apart from others is that when I do this it really makes me happy. I don’t do it just to say “Oh I’m a business owner” but I do it with my blood sweat and tears. It makes me happy to see my work up at a event and everyone loving it.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The quality and characteristics that I feel is most important to my success I would have to say is my patience and my pure soul. You know the saying when they say “don’t mix business with personal”… I have such a pure soul that when it’s someone I know trying to book for an event I’m always trying to find ways to work with them or keep them inside of their budget. Even if I don’t know them. I’m just always trying to help others even through this is my business I still find ways to not only make my money but also make sure my customers and happy as well.
