M’mahmary, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My name is M’mahmary Sylla and I am the Vice President of Purely CBD of Grayson. I was born from an American mother and Immigrant father from Guinea, Conakry. I have lived in various parts of the world studying cultures, traditions, and natural remedies. I currently reside in Snellville, Georgia, and have always been interested in natural alternatives to prescriptions. I have first hand witnessed the damage that prescription medications can do to ones body. My African heritage has taught me that there is a natural herb for anything! I have always kept a close eye to the medical marijuana laws within Georgia because I have plenty of family members that could greatly benefit from it. Unfortunately, the laws in Georgia are pretty restrictive and many of my family members, including myself are not able to get a medical marijuana card. I knew a lot about cannabis so I knew there had to be another option.
Upon my study’s I came across this new craze called CBD. CBD is a cannabinoid derived from hemp. It is the non-psychoactive part of the cannabis plant, and provides all of the benefits from medical marijuana without the “high” associated. Hemp is federally legal in all 50 states! There are so many various methods of taking it from Oils, Water Soluble, Gummies, Flower, and many, many more which means everyone can benefit from it. CBD is great for people who may suffer from various forums of pain, anxiety, and even great for pets. It has been a life changer for me because I have suffered with anxiety my whole life. CBD provides an all natural alternative for me and has made my anxiety practically vanish!
After studying CBD in depth for over a year Marilyn Jones (owner) and I teamed up to bring Purely CBD of Grayson to life! Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Many people are not aware of the benefits of Hemp. A lot of people think it is the same thing as marijuana. Because of this it can be hard gaining the legal right to open shops from certain counties. This is why it is extremely important to us that we are ALWAYS on top of the current laws regarding cannabis in Georgia. Many people have a preconceived notion that hemp is illegal and dangerous to use. This is why places like Purely CBD of Grayson are important because not only do we provide a luxury shopping experience, but we also educate all of our customers. Hemp is 100% legal, and because all of our products are Lab-Tested, and Organically grown unlike many others it makes it 100% safe for consumption.
Purely CBD of Grayson – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Purely CBD of Grayson’s first day open was August 4th, 2020. We specializes in Top-Quality Hemp based CBD products. What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment was a day before officially opening our doors, we were inside cleaning up and a customer walked in! We were barely set up and she ended up buying several of our products. She was so happy with the quality of our CBD and how it helped her pain levels decrease greatly. She says she will never go anywhere else but Purely CBD of Grayson. She is definitely one of our V.I.P. customers. That was a very proud moment because it was totally unexpected. It shows how much we truly do love our community, and will open our doors for anyone.
