Today we’d like to introduce you to Precious Greene.
Primarily I am a healthcare worker here in Atlanta, but l ventured off into the beauty world. I have always loved wearing hair extensions since I was 16 years old. It’s something about wearing hair extensions that makes people feel even more beautiful. It finally took for me to have a really bad experience with a young lady who was selling hair at the time, to decide I wanted to sell hair. I then said to myself that I am going to start my own hair company and make sure to never have any of my customers experience unnecessary rudeness and lack of communication.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing worth having is ever really smooth. I started through a pandemic so there were challenges. Shockingly, coming up with a name for the company seemed more stressful than any other part of the business.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Pure Intent Hair Company – what should we know?
Pure Intent Hair company is known to offer some of the best quality of bundles, closures, wigs and frontals. I believe what sets me apart from others is the fact that I think like a customer first. I try to put myself in my customer shoes and try to go the extra mile and think about if it was me, how would I want that person to handle me or what would I want that person to offer me. Business is business but treat people how you want to be treated.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I have a mentor which her name is Lex and she have been amazing from the start of us meeting. She is also an entrepreneur. She is a great role model for up and coming girl bosses. My husband, my daughter, my friends, especially Keishaun, definitely all played a major role. My husband Chris kept me motivated by assuring me that I would succeed in this business and that he will support me with whatever I do. When I became frustrated with things, he was right there to help ease my mind. Lex gave me that extra push I needed by sharing her story which helped me understand that I was capable of doing this and that I will do this. Keishaun really motivated me go to the business class that Lex was hosting when I was questioning should I go. I called Keishaun with every excuse in the book to not go to the class but she was not trying to hear it! She gave some really positive words and insight as to why it’s important for me to attend that business class.
