Meet Rachel Grant of Focus2GetFit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Grant.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Rachel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up I struggled with low self-esteem, self-esteem, being bullied throughout my school years and then after I graduated my life for a year and half I was in an abusive relationship (mental, physically, emotionally, etc) I settled for the bs and just was even more depressed. then one day I had enough so I ran away with what I had never looked back I started my life in a new city and was homeless for the first few months of coming to the new city.

How I got started back into fitness was documenting my journey from my workouts, affirmations, self-love practices, what I was currently eating in my day which was very limited but I did what I could with what I had; I decided to go with the name focus2getfit on Instagram to speak about my journey I would receive message from ladies thanking me for posting my workouts, uplifting them with positive in their journey.

After, I started working I decided since its been a while let me get a health screening test it was an another obstacle to fight they had let me know the food I was currently eating and putting in my body caused me to be pre-diabetic. I was like nah I’m fight and I got to the library research and implemented what I was learning. I went back six months later for a follow up and they told me I’m not sure what you did but your levels has changed amazing and you are in much better health. I was proud of myself. I filed with my stated for business to be listed in 2018 and hadn’t looked back since. I got certified and was creating workout and nutrition routine for my clients. how I got to where I am now I took courses, read ebooks, studied my audience needs, but most important I feed my mindset and believe in me and my vision.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes there has been struggles and obstacles in my journey. Some struggles would say my mindset when I first my journey back again 2016-2017 I was pre-diabetic, my mindset and confidence which goes hand and hand was non-existence to where it is today, self-love with body appreciation.
