Victoria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My name is Victoria bass, I am the CEO of Different clothing brand and as well as Different girl’s organization. I started Different in 2017 when I was 17 years old it was a little difficult because I was doing everything by myself plus school and work but I always knew what Different can do and become I just had to be more consistent and actually believe in myself more, and don’t give up, and that’s what I did believed in myself and I didn’t give up. Here’s 2020 Different better than it can ever be I had more ideas, more designs, and more options I love it.
Different girls organization I started in 2018. Reason why I started my organization because I love helping people putting smiles on people faces. I know I can’t change And help everybody but I knew And still know I can try and I did. My organization is a nonprofit organizations for girls 12-21 years of age. To uplift each other, be there for each other, become your own business, growing into that person you always know you could be, supporting each other, and understand that we are all the same you are just your own person. My organization is everything to me because it helps me out as well to be more opened, comfortable to where I can talk and express myself without being afraid I have always been to myself. Plus Different girls organization it’s real, nature and genuine including me.
My businesses made me a better person, and understanding the value of life. As well as helped me grow into the woman I am now and I’m only 21 years old I’m not nowhere near done yet really just getting started! God pressured me because he knew I can handle it. I know I’m different so I making the difference period! Thank you for letting me shared my story. ✨
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The beginning no not at all, the main struggle I had was beating myself up to much being extra hard on myself. I wasn’t focus and I knew it. Once I had self-control and got focus my worst days became my best days.
Please tell us about Different and Differentgirlsorganization.
Different is my clothing brand it describes yourself everybody. Different girl’s organization known for uplifted us girls also been better than who you were yesterday. I Victoria is known for being a role model, very genuine person And a Black African American entrepreneur! I’m proud of myself that never and will never give up and I know I can make a difference.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I wouldn’t say luck I don’t believe in luck, but it was good and bad. I had issues with myself bad I had to overcome. Going through depression I wasn’t happy or satisfied with my life at a point to where I couldn’t eat, lost all my weight, stressed and I had to pause my businesses. The good out of it is that I accepted life I accept that you go through things to get through Them. Nobody’s perfect I know I not. I forgot who I was for a minute honestly but when I found her the new her it was over with, I’m going harder than I ever did I found my happiness and my peace.
