Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaliyah Monroe.

Aaliyah, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started off in the beauty business as a lash tech. Around November 2019 was when I wanted to try something new, which was nails. I find interest in jewels, designs, lengths, etc. when I was doing lashes; it wasn’t my passion. I wasn’t as intrigued as I am now with nails. I love what I do and enjoy every bit of it. I went to college to major in fashion merchandising.

But when I look at fashion, I admire it from head to toe. When I first started doing nails I wasn’t as good. It took me practice and than around June 2020 was when I launched my booking site. Clientele was slow but it picked up fast. My following is just starting to peak. I than launched my first promo video and I received great feedback. Now almost a year before my anniversary of doing nails for one year I now have a website where I offer press ons and nail accessories coming soon.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been in between. There are some days when I don’t have clientele but that motivates me to keep creating content and going out networking handing out business flyers and just informing about my business.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
The Nail SNOBB is my baby. I want females to come to me and get their nails done and feel like the “SNOBB” they are. My definition of a SNOBB is you just want your hands to fee so boujie lol. Your hands do the talking for you. I offer acrylic sets. All my sets are done with acrylic. What I’m best known for is my “SNOBB FREE$TYLE” this service is for woman who don’t actually know what type of designs, colors or etc. they want for their set. So with my creative flow I go with the first thing that comes to my head and they turn out so bomb. I’m proud that I got to do this all in a short matter of time. I’m proud because my biggest flex is that I’m self-taught. I study others and I give credit when due but for me to sit at my desk day and night and get to where my work is now making me beyond happy. What sets me apart from others is my promo skills with nails. I make my promo videos fun with real live reactions. Just so they can see, my customers are always satisfied with what I present.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, I do feel like the city is a good area to start a business. I defiantly would recommend them to start their career off here.
