

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andre Weaver.
Andre, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started with an idea. A need/want of creating something that could be shared and experienced with the people closes to me. In 2016 the framework of PILLARS was created. Within four short years, our model from the beginning with three screens printed T-shirts to now carrying a complete lineup of men’s, women, and children’s clothing, shoes, and accessories speak on the journey of growth we’ve experienced.
From starting in my mother’s basement to opening the 3rd PILLARS location, it’s been a rollercoaster ride, to say the least. I’m sure with plenty more twists and turns to come!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ha! I’m sure I could write a book on all the struggles/complaints but that wouldn’t do anyone any good. I’d say the road had been as it would be expected. Nothing worth having comes easy, but the path is certainly tameable. Common struggles like consistency, maintaining focus, execution, and funding are key factors that we at PILLARS try to stay on top of. We feel as though if we can keep those things under somewhat control, we have a really good chance at success.

At PILLARS, we offer quality, affordable clothing. I would say that’s exactly what we’re known for. If you’ve had the chance to experience our products, the first thing that stands out is the detail in quality. Our main focus is to continue to provide the best products visually and structurally to our shoppers. This is also what I would say sets us apart from similar brands. The amount of resources we are able to acquire as we continue to grow only furthers the gap between what we are capable of and what they currently provide. It’s levels to this.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
That’s a tough one. This journey has been filled with milestones, all of them carrying their own sentimental values. Most recently, our team celebrated 1 Million dollars in sales for this fiscal year. With 2020 being full of challenges, I think that speaks highly of the work and dedication my team has given the company and knowing that is a great feeling to say the least.
