Meet Rashia B. Cox of Arise Den

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rashia B. Cox.

Rashia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Arise Den LLC, was founded in 2017 as a result of being down in so many areas of my personal life prior to 2017. During this time, I was experiencing financial distress, loss of direction, mental anguish, several moments of regret, and loss of hope. It was 2017 that I wanted to create a business to help others gain financial freedom through offering them credit repair services with coaching on how to maintain the work, a business that could help people prepare for job interviews and professional development, and provide a safe place where others could talk through some mental health issues that had imprisoned them for so long. I like to view Arise Den as an accountability partner to the world and the people in it. Often times, we come to a low place in our lives without any sense of urgency to come up out of that low place. Arise Den has been established in the earth to provide that confirmation of hope that no matter how low you have gotten, there is always an opportunity to Arise out of it.

Has it been a smooth road?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road. When I initially set out to start Arise Den, I was going down the path of owning a facility to place misplaced people from the impacts of social failures. I wanted (and still do) to help them gain a sense of purpose back in life. I was targeting the single mom and dad, the ex-convict, the recovering drug addict, the abused woman or man, and so on. While this population of people was massive in my area, running into roadblocks with trying to find the adequate location, zoning issues with the city, tons of paperwork, and one of the major blocks… no money discouraged me in a way that I stop pursuing that path. I even started to self doubt myself as I had walked away from my then long term career at a major health insurance company to pursue this vision but was not getting anywhere. I became stuck again. I became a failure (in my eyes) again. I did not finish what I started.

I was down, but it was not until 2018, when my mother passed away abruptly, that I started to find my passion again to help people. My mom taught me to be a champion and not just any kind of champion, a strong one. I started to tap into my gifts and asked myself what I have struggled with that I have overcome and can help someone else overcome. I started partnering with several companies by purchasing franchises and building business in the areas of finance, health wellness, professional development, and spiritual development. I wanted to keep Arise Den alive even though I steered away from its original intent. Now I am helping tons of people Arise in these areas.
