Today we’d like to introduce you to Ty Cobb.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Gheesh! I guess I’ll start back from when I was a little girl drawing, painting, writing stories and acting in church plays and at local city plays starting at the tender age of 6 years old. My very first love was actually doing hair, which many people don’t know I’ve been doing hair since I was 13. I’ve always had a gift for putting visions together by just imagining them in my head such as color combos, clothing ideas, story ideas and the list goes on. God has truly blessed me to be a visionary and I’m so grateful for that. At the age of 15, I was blessed to be given the chance to do my first wedding nine bridesmaids and the beautiful bride. That was the beginning of my start in the beauty industry. Fast forward after working in the beauty industry, I yearned to tap into my other gifts such as writing, teaching and television production. The Ty Cobb Radio Show, Ty Cobb Beauty, The Real Makeup Artists of DC Reality Show, Beat University Book and Randemish Clothing were all birthed. Growing up in church and watching my grandfather who had a gospel quartet group. I would sit on the steps playing the tambourine and singing along at 3 years old, watching him produce all the songs, sing lead, write and conduct his rehearsals. Who knew that would actually be me now running all of my businesses from his example.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur and in the limelight is never easy but when God is on your side you can overcome anything. My struggles honestly were trying to take everyone with me on my journey to the top. Jealously, hurt and pain helped me to realize it’s ok to choose yourself first. Being that I work in both the beauty and entertainment industries. It really took me a while to garner the fact that it’s business not personal. Work hard, stay focus, keep God first and being consistent is the largest key to your success, heart and mental health in business and life.
Tell us about your work – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?

It’s been the two of us “Larging” the wheels out of my career.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I would say watching my growth and looking back at everything I’ve created and accomplished. I cry wondering how I’ve managed to do so much without a larger push from companies, sponsors or anyone else. I’ve done everything with my own hard-earned money, faith and belief in myself and talent.
