Hi Jasmine, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story or should I say, journey started a long time ago. I have always worked in the medical field full time, but the recent pandemic forced me to pursue my dreams and step out on faith. I feared bringing home sickness to my sons, who all struggle with respiratory issues, so I made the conscious decision to walk away from the hospital and pursue my hobby and passion full time; I haven’t looked back since.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. But is there ever really a right time to pursue anything life-changing? My road has been bumpy, filled with potholes, and many detours. The hardest part for me has been finances and marketing. When you are starting a business and brand from the ground up, you are your own investor and promoter. I’ve learned so much and still have much to learn, but I wouldn’t change a thing!

Cultivate Natural Essentials is all about providing organic and natural products to produce healthy skin and hair. We specialize in shea butter, facial and body scrubs, therapeutic hair growth oils and mists, lip care sets, therapeutic bath soaks, facial cleansers, body oils, organic body soaps, and yoni care products. Every product is cultivated with love, knowledge, and certified organic ingredients. Chemicals are never used in our products, which provide our customers with peace of mind while managing self-care. I think what sets us apart from others is our purpose. “Cultivate life to manifest love.” Our brand is a garden that we are harvesting one product at a time. My children enjoy being apart of my dream, we are truly in this together! They are with me every step of the way to witness that hard work pays off and there is no dream too small to manifest.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
If I could give any advice to young entrepreneurs, it would be to not quit. Greatness doesn’t always happen overnight. I got discouraged many times in the beginning, but I kept going. Seeing my brand and business flourish, all while my children are looking up to me, is a priceless feeling. Keep going. It’s worth it. Whatever the dream or idea, pursue it with every ounce of your being.
