During his time in Iraq, Niche sought refuge in his music. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing worthwhile comes easy. After retiring from rap, I attempted to go back to Radio but it wasn’t God’s plan. I remember being simply told “No” when I asked to return to my old station, not defeated, I decided to create my own platform, “Ugly Money Podcast,” which now garners me Millions of views and listens a month, and what I would make in a year doing Local radio I make in a week. Funny, had they told me Yes… I would have never started my own platform, I would have never started the Freebandz tour that would garner me the A&R position I now hold, and quite frankly, my company wouldn’t be worth the Millions it is today. I thank God every day that they told me NO! lol.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Before, I was probably known for popular slap contest videos from events I was doing across the southeast. Currently I’ve been doing a lot of things for Indie artists. Having been one myself, I understand how hard it is to get your music to the masses. I created a 30 city talent search tour that we go out looking for talent to bring directly to Moneybagg Yo, Boosie, Gunna directly. Twice a year I host “The Ugly Money Music Summit,” where I have over 10 Label A&r’s come to check out the talent. People kind of know me at the Plug to the Label, the guy that can get them to the RIGHT PEOPLE. I’m most proud of the artists that I’ve seen get record deals after being on my platforms, most recently Foogiano, Lil Thumpr, Euro Gotit (Authentic Empire), not to forget Lil Donald & Dae Dae & countless others have all graced my soundstages. It’s the work of helping others that I’m most proud of. Seeing China Monai being on the brink of stardom after taking on her project just four months ago when she had only done one show and one video… To see her touring and garnering label attention is definitely rewarding.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
