Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Morse.
Hi Jennifer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My passion for design started when I was quite young. Even as a child I took an interest to how structures were built and the details that were put into styles and decor. When I was six years old, my family moved into a home where the kitchen was covered in this awful wallpaper and it was then I said I was going to give my parents a new kitchen. I knew then that I wanted to pursue something artistic and creative that also helped people as my career. I started more in the administrative side of design before moving into the fun creative side of design. However, doing so allowed me to learn more about the world of design as a whole and not just the shallow end that you sometimes get in school. Because of that, it allowed me to be the knowledgeable, well-rounded designer I am today.
I am now equipped with more than just drafting and picking colors, I can take my clients on the full journey of design. In my journey, I had to go up several tiers to finally get to the actual design side of the field, but again, each tier gave me knowledge and insight in order to peel back another layer of design. Skills that I was able to master and then take with me to the next level. But after a while, it seemed as though others were putting a lid on their creativity and wanted to force me to do the same. This was not something that I could include myself with, I had so many ideas and skills that I knew limiting my creativity was not an option. So I decided to take that leap of faith and start my own business. I felt it was time to stop being confounded to the barriers of others and allow myself to be free in my creativity and provide clients with the designs of their dreams. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made! It did not happen overnight, that’s for sure, but I was hungry for success and determined to get there.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The ride to greatness is never smooth, there were many bumps and stumbles along the way. However, I chose to see the disappointments as ammunition to push forward. I had to remember that God gave me this gift for a reason, and it would be irresponsible for me not to see this gift to its full purpose. I was determined not to let anything or anyone hinder me from greatness. My thought process was the best rebuttal to naysayers is to simply succeed.

Jay Leigh Studios, LLC is a boutique interior design firm that specializes in making your style needs and vision come true. We focus mainly on residential and boutique hospitality projects but are beginning to branch out into small commercial projects as well. We offer multiple packages to assist every client with any specific requests needed for any project they may have. We pride ourselves on creating amazing plans/drawings and renders, as well as providing excellent customer service to assist with purchasing and installs.
