Chynna C. Miley, an Atlanta, Georgia native, is a University of Oregon graduate who obtained her Bachelors of Education degree in Family and Human Services and a Master of Science in Student Affairs and Higher Education. Chynna is an Event Stylist and Party Planner who specializes in providing clients with custom designs, transforming spaces and designing beautiful candy buffet tables. Events by CCM is a Full-Service Event Planning Company that Specializes in Candy Buffet Tables, Full Room Decor, and Custom Creations for Baby Showers, Birthday Parties, Bridal Showers, Weddings and more!
She started planning events at The University of Oregon! While being involved as a Student-Athlete and student leader on campus, she was able to organize events, seminars, workshops and retreats for students at The University of Oregon. That is where it all started and she fell in love with event planning ever since!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Entrepreneurship is not easy! Even now, I learn as I go! Every event is a learning experience! You can not let the likes and the followers get to you. I have growing points and struggles. There are highs and lows. Persistence is key! Always research your niche and learn ways to perfect your craft! I am very persistent and I get better by researching and learning more each and every day. During the pandemic, when the world was “shut down,” I had to come up with an innovative way to continue to stand out and brand myself as an expert in my field. So during that time, I would go live, create videos, create content and post more on my Events By CCM YouTube channel, which allowed me to continue to educate my followers and potential clients. So when we were allowed to go back “Outside,” I was able to have clients based on the content and information I shared during quarantine.

Events by CCM is a Full-Service Event Planning Company that Specializes in Candy Buffet Tables, Full Room Decor and Rentals, Custom Backdrops, and Custom Creations for Baby Showers, Birthday Parties, Bridal Showers, Sweet 16’s and Social Events! What sets me apart from others is my ability to help other Event Planners and Creative Entrepreneurs brand and market themselves. I have Event Planning 101 Classes, Branding and Marketing Classes, and a new series where I go live and give people business tips called #CarChatsWithChynna. I am also proud of the fact that I started renting event decor this year! I rent Decor, Linen, Champagne Walls, Round Walls, Cake Stands, Vases, Centerpieces and more! Many people do not know that I am in the process of obtaining my certification in Marketing! I am always looking to grow and increase my knowledge as a creative professional!
Any big plans?
I am looking forward to writing my second e-book titled The 4 C’s Every Creative Needs To Know! Furthermore, I am looking forward to taking my organization to the next level! I am also excited to educate and inform more people of The Motivate Your Mind Foundation. The Motivate Your Mind Foundation was created during a global pandemic due to many people around suffering with depression. The Motivate Your Mind Foundation was created to empower others to know their worth, never settle for less than what they deserve and to eradicate the stigma of mental health. We will provide resources through workshops, seminars and community events.
