Today we’d like to introduce you to Miosha Payne.
Hi Miosha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been an artist. Between running two businesses and being a mother of three, creating art serves as a therapeutic release for me now more than ever. From painting to handmade hair bows and crafts, making jewelry has proven to be by far one of my favorite artistic outlets. Art gives me the ability to creatively express my emotions and thoughts freely. I pour a lot of myself into my brand. Although I paused for some time to build my detail business, I recently picked up making jewelry again. I saw so much opportunity to share my gift with others and I really wanted to offer my current clientele more. Doing so was one of my best decisions and I’ve tripled my clientele within the past six months.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building my brand has not been a smooth road. At times, I’ve struggled with being a single parent and balancing my personal life/businesses. It’s very important to me that I not only make time for my children and work but that I also make room for my dreams and passions. I’ve also had to rebuild a broken/fractured business and clientele after a partnership went sour. Overall, maintaining a mentally, physically and emotionally healthy lifestyle for myself and my children is what makes me feel complete. I am a very hands-on person, and I am constantly challenged with several tasks/deadlines, so reminding myself to delegate tasks to others and not be afraid to ask for help has been a game-changer.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an artist before any other profession. My creativity is what drives me even at my car detail business. I like for things that I create to look and feel great and that directly translates over into any work that I do. For example, I find it so fulfilling to take a terribly dirty car and make it look amazing again. To me, that’s art and my customers truly appreciate that. When it comes to my jewelry line, I am known for creating artistically driven jewelry. You won’t just walk in anywhere and find designs like mine.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I would describe myself as self-motivated. When I have a vision, not much will stand in my way of trying to make it happen. Although outside factors inspire me daily, my inner motivation, inspiration and confidence in my ability to achieve my goals and be successful is what drives me the most.
