Today we’d like to introduce you to Keshunta Jinks.
Hi Keshunta, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As I grew up didn’t really get to experience my childhood. I was about ten when I was taking from my mother my siblings and I. My mother got sick so it was hard for her to raise us so we ended up in foster care. Going through foster care was hard for me I didn’t know myself I would get bullied in school picked on even get into fights. As I turned 18, I was on my own I ended up going to college and it was a horror movie for me. I was picked on bullied even taking out of school with handcuffs taking to the hospital I was literally torched all I remember is students laughing at me. I wanted to commit suicide I wanted to give up the mental anguish I had in my heart I knew I needed to seek help. Thru the years speaking with psychologist and getting therapy has helped me get stronger as I get my story out I would like to instill hope different coping methods.. I want to inspire someone to not give up as hard as it may seem..
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
having mental illness and going thru life has been rough but meditation believing in a higher power has helped me. Seeking help and not being afraid. Some of the struggles I have dealt with along the way is trusting people to easily. Being silent.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Turning the impossible Possible?
Turning the impossible Possible is about giving someone hope allowing them to know they are not along. That they will make it to see another day. What sets me apart is being open not afraid to talk about life issues.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
To keep going.
