Hi Raven, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Sugar Rae’s Shea began because I have eczema. I couldn’t find anything to help with my seasonal eczema and dry skin. After two biopsies and an allergic reaction to the prescribed medications, I decided to venture out on my own and find my own route. I always love the texture of Shea Butter and other natural products but I did not like the stinch. I combined several of my favorite products that I know helps tremendously with my eczema and from there, I wanted to help others as well. Sugar Rae’s Shea Skincare now has several amazing products Body Butter, Body and Facial Scrubs, Chapsticks, Hair Oils for men and women, and Soaps; All natural and safe; even for sensitive skin.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Through this journey, I have definitely had some knockdowns. The objective is to avoid knockouts!! LOL. In entrepreneurship, things can change in a matter of seconds. My objective is to try and stay ahead of the curve. If there is anything, I can get ahead of before it becomes a problem. I do so. I understand challenges will appear, but that’s the nature of being an entrepreneur. It’s vital to limit fear and have a fight in your heart!
