Andrew, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We are a luxury tour company offering travel experiences in Central and South America. We started in 1987, when our founder was working for a newspaper in Caracas, Venezuela. The first trips we offered were weekend packages for expats living in Caracas. Since then our company has grown, and we now sell all destinations in Central and South America (and very little Venezuela anymore).
Has it been a smooth road?
NO! Travel is impacted by just about everything imaginable: military coups, natural disasters, fears of terrorism or disease, a crash in the economy or stock market – you name it, and it has kept us awake at night.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Lost World Adventures – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a luxury tour company specializing in really detailed programs in Central and South America. No matter how difficult or unusual the request, we can assist people in planning through our wide network of friends and associates throughout Latin America.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love Decatur. I came here from the UK in 1987. I have lived here pretty much ever since. It has a small neighborhood feel, and I have so many friends in the area – and many are my clients too! I do not drive much, but when I do, I am glad I do not have to do it very often. I also find the summer heat to be excessive.
